Frequently Used Programs - WinMo

As I have said there are lots of Windows Mobile(WinMo) programs available and after years of usage I resort to just a few useful programs that I most often use.  I uninstalled those who are deemed useless or no bad cause when not present.  Here are my list:

• Resco Explorer.  I use the built-in File Manager is fine but it would be better if it is more Windows Explorer like.  I use Resco Explorer since I had my first Windows Mobile device and it comes more useful compared to the built-in file manager.  What you see in Windows Explorer is what you'd expect on the Resco interface.  I really love the Detail View in which your files are being categorized into Name, File Type, Date Modified, Size, etc.  This is useful when you are trying to locate a certain document in the midst of all the chaos in your directory.  Of course there is the "Find" option but I'd rather find it manually so that I will not forget on which folder I placed it.  You can also have the option of viewing files or folders with long filenames.  The cut and copy option is quite handy and you can also add program shortcuts in the Programs directory in the start menu.
• TranCreative WordBook.  This is the most useful dictionary that I have used and am fond of using it ever since.  There are a lot of dictionary programs available but this one is in the simplest form and has a wide database of commonly used words.  I am useing Version 3.6 but haven't checked if there are new versions available.  As soon as an unrecognized word is being encountered WordBook is the program to go to.
• TomeRaider.  This piece of program is an E-Book Reader which has a wide array of literature available in it's website.  The format is in TR3.  The most useful is the Wikipedia Encyclopedia which have a thousand entries.  If you are lacking in storage space you can download it's Wikipedia Compact(No Pictures) for just 49.7MB.
• Repligo Viewer.  This program is similar to Adobe's PDF Reader but you have to convert it to it's own file which is in RGO format.  The advantage is that the size of the file is far smaller compared to the traditional PDF's that we view using our PCs.  And you also need to purchase the Repligo Mobilizer which converts PDFs and other files into it's own RGO standard document.  It is quite handy when you have less space and is as convenient to use same with the Adobe Reader Mobile.  I am still using this since I have converted so much PDFs that the original files were already lost and not because I lack storage space.
• TCMP(The Core Media Player).  This is a music and a video player which contains almost all the codec that a player needs.  It plays MP4, MPG, AVI, ACC, FLV, etc.  I never tried using it to play MOV, VOB and M4V files though.  The good thing about this is that you don't need to convert your movies into a specified format but just upload it directly to your Storage Card and there you go, you can view it instantly.
• Microsoft Reader.  This is another E-Book reader from Microsoft.  The advantage of this is that it is a dedicated E-Book reader and it is meant to read novels.  The interface is quite simple and you don't need to be a rocket scientist to use it.
• Mobi Reader.  This is another E-Book reader which is more complicated compared to Microsoft Reader.  The reason that I installed this is that I have tons of unread books which is in the Mobi Reader format.

I guess that wraps up my list of mostly used software inside my WinMo device aside from the built-in Office Mobile and Adobe Reader LE.  There are still plenty of applications out there and I am willing to try them out.  As you have noticed the applications listed above are quite old since I just adopted them from my old O2 XDA II Mini device.  I really haven't checked if there are updates but I will soon.
